Okay I have a confession, I cheated a little bit on my “healthy-green summer,” but sometimes you need a cheat day to feed the soul. So on one of my off-days, I decided to make my way down to Broadway to try the place everyone is always buzzing about—Mission Burger. The great thing about Mission Burger is that all burgers and hot dogs are ground in house, setting it apart from your typical fast food joint. The laid back atmosphere of the restaurant perfectly blends with Broadway’s ‘hipster’ appeal as you enjoy your food on comfortable picnic-esque tables. With so many different options I decided to keep it simple and ordered the classic burger which is decorated comfortably with lettuce, raw-onion, and their own “mission sauce”. Of course I had to get a side of fries – and of course they were delicious! Can you ever go wrong with fries? Just when I thought my dining experience was over, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Mission is a provider of Tricycle Ice Cream sandwiches— a guilty pleasure of mine that I usually enjoy on at the Aquidneck Farmer’s Market. No surprise, I got one to top off my delicious meal. Craving a burger? Skip the drive-through and opt for Broadway’s own, Mission.
Mission Burger is closed Mondays, but is open Tuesday-Thursday 11-9, Friday-Saturday 11-10,
